The Best Halloween Movies and TV Shows
In honor of Halloween, here are some scary / funny movies and TV shows that you can watch:
TV Shows:
- Corpse Party – (can be watched on crunchyroll.com or 9anime.com). I recommend this show because it has an interesting plot. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and is very suspenseful. However, if you don’t like blood and gore, I wouldn’t recommend it, or you could watch the censored version, which is also available on the website.
- Chucky the Series – (can be watched on the SYFYchannel or app ). I recommend this show because it’s scary, but also has its comedy traits. The three main characters are teens who are trying to save their town when a toy comes home to play.Trigger warning, there is some drug usage and violence.
- High School of the Dead – (can be watched on crunchyroll.com or 9anime.com). This anime revolves around a group of kids who are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. This is an interesting show, that has its funny moments, and is scary at the end. Trigger warning, there is brief nudityand some violence.
Movies:
- The Black Phone – (can be watched on Peacock or Redbox). The Black Phone follows a boy who is being held in a soundproof basement. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts ringing, he soon discovers the voices are prior fallen victims of the same killer. This is good Halloween thriller because of the psychological warfare that happens between the killer and his victim.
- Don’t Breathe2– (can be watched on Starz, Hulu and Amazon Prime). Don’t Breathe 2 is about a little girl who was previously kidnapped blind man. However, once reunited with her parents, we realize they do not have the best intentions. This movie is unpredictable, and you won’t know what’s coming next.
- The Curse of Bridge Hollow – (can be watched on Netflix). This is a new movie that just dropped on Netflix.A man and his daughter must team up to save their town after an ancient and mischievous spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and wreak havoc. This is a good family friendly movie, with minimal cursing and violence.
